This week reception have been practising for their sports afternoon on Tuesday 13th July at 1:45pm in the Junior playground. Last week was National Sports week and at 1.20pm on Friday all classes in the school joined in with an Olympic themed dance workout. It was great fun.
Please remember to ensure that your child’s PE kit is in school at all times.
The last few weeks of the term are always very busy and can be a very anxious time for the children. Over the next few weeks they will be meeting their new teachers and visiting their new classrooms. You might find the following Talking Tips especially useful at this time.
Talking Tips
Share daily activities with your child –these provide opportunities for commenting about objects and actions,as well as extending your child’s vocabulary.
Have a special time to talk about the day-this will help your child’s memory skills. It also helps them to talk about things which have happened in the past.
Don’t forget you are invited to meet Year1 staff on Monday 12th July, at a meeting in the hall between 9 :00am and 9.30am.
